EDEN, UTA (AP) – One person was killed and another suffered severe burns when their single-engine plane crashed Saturday morning near the Powder Mountains area near northern Utah, officials said.
The National Transportation Safety Board said it was investigating the crash of a Cessna 172S.
It is not clear that the aircraft whey has gone down.
The injured were airlifted to the University of Utah Burn Center, officials said.
It had been a long time since the plane crashed at Hinckley Ogden Airport.
The incident led to a minor fire, but officials say the crash site was cold and humid, so the fire was quickly extinguished.
