One person was killed and several others were injured in a fire at West Garfield Park on Friday night.
About 11:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire at a house in West Jackson Boulevard 4400 block, according to Chicago fire officials.
Fire officials said a man was found dead in what is believed to be a man. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office did not provide details about his death.
According to fire officials, a 70-year-old woman was in danger of being caught in the flames of Mount Sinai.
The Chicago Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
