Both men who were arrested are charged with disorderly conduct and may be fined $1,200.
A fight broke out on Saturday evening at The big EWest Springfield police said.
Police arrested James Stanley, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Levi Stanley, of Amherst, New Hampshire, at the fairgrounds, the department said on social media.
Police said they arrived at the fairgrounds around 5pm on Saturday. According to the post, officers found several victims with “various injuries.” Some were taken to a local hospital, police said. But according to police, a large group of people ran from the fairgrounds when officers arrived.
Police arrested the two suspects near Memorial Avenue, police said. Both face charges of disorderly conduct, destruction of property, assault and fines of $1,200, the post said. Additionally, James Stanley faces a charge of robbery. Police said he allegedly stole items from at least one other person involved in the fight.
Representation for both James and Levi was not yet listed in court filings, and The Big E did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
