Two of the 17 people taken hostage in Haiti last month have been released, their church organization said on Sunday. Both members are “safe” and “in a good mood,” according to Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries.

No further information, including the identity of the released or how their release was secured, was provided.

“While we rejoice in this release, our hearts are with the fifteen people who are still being held captive,” the church group said.

The group of missionaries was abducted on October 16 by the “400 Mawozo” gang, according to the US State Department. Sixteen of the 17 taken hostage are Americans. The group includes five children, according to the Associated Press.
