Minneapolis (WCCO) – Two people were killed in separate shootings overnight in Minneapolis.
A woman who was shot was released after 1:30 p.m. at North Memorial Hospital, but died before police could talk to her and ask her what happened.
Investigators believe he was shot near 22nd Avenue and Second Street in North Minneapolis. Police are still searching for a suspect.
The second fatal shooting occurred shortly after 1:45 p.m. near East Lake Street under a bridge leading to Hiawatha Avenue in south Minneapolis.
Police say the occupants of the cars were “recklessly driving and moving around,” when the two men clashed. They started shooting each other and a stray bullet hit a passerby who had stopped to look at the cars.
The officials present on the spot gave him CPR, but he later died in the hospital.
