PSECU Headquarters in Harrisburg is taking precautions after an employee recently came into contact with a person who traveled to Italy and was exposed to the coronavirus.

In a press release received from the Department of Health, PSECU said it understands that the person who traveled to Italy was tested for the virus and is not being isolated.

Officials said the PSECU employee did not exhibit any symptoms of the virus, and there is no reason to believe that this person has been exposed. However, as a precaution, the employee will remain at home until the potentially exposed person is cleared.

PSECU also said the following:

To deal with the situation, we immediately reached out to PA Health Line for direction and protocol. Also, for the safety of our employees, we have increased our cleaning and disinfection efforts in the areas visited by the employee and distributed hand sanitizers throughout the building.

We take the health and well-being of our employees and the community at large seriously and will take additional action as needed.

Our work continues to serve our valued members as a reliable financial partner.
