A 23-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday morning after she spat on and then injured a man she was arguing with on the CTA Red Line, Chicago police said.
According to police, a 33-year-old man was a passenger on the CTA Red Line in the 1000 block of West Argyle Street around 8:40 p.m., when the woman approached him and spat at the victim and an altercation ensued. The woman pulled out a firearm during the argument and shot the victim in the left shoulder, police said.
The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was listed in good condition, police said.
The woman was arrested and a weapon was found at the scene, police said.
Detectives investigated.
