UK gaming site PlatinCasino.co.uk is looking for a Simpsons series analyst to watch every episode to look for real life events to add to the list that the sitcom has already seen coming.
“It’s a well-known phenomenon that the Simpsons have predicted major life events, and in our industry we also like to predict what the future holds for us in advance,” the company describes in its job application. “So, after a hard few years, we at PlatinCasino.co.uk are interested in seeing what 2022 will hold …”
The show is already credited with predicting Donald Trump’s presidency, Disney’s acquisition of Fox, Game of Thrones End, FaceTime, Apple Watches, auto-correction, baby translator, election fraud, a three-ice fish found next to a nuclear power plant, the 2013 horsemeat scandal, Siegfried and Roy’s white tiger attack, the FIFA corruption scandal, Bengt R. Holmstrom winning the Nobel Prize, the ongoing British fuel shortage, the USA beating Sweden while curling at the 1992 Winter Olympics , 1993 and 1994 Super Bowl winner, and, most controversial of all, the Coronavirus / Mordhornet double whammy.
For the 8-week appearance, the company pays $ 7k for someone who comes through all 33 seasons — and the film- “to record notable events from the show, to help us predict the probability of each one.”
The benefits include an additional $ 100 to cover wifi and the cost of Disney +, as well as a weekly box of free donuts.
Employees are expected to work full 35.5 hours a week to cover every 284 hours of view.
Applicants must be over 18 and fluent in English, but can work from far from any country in the world.
