Air ambulance lands in Grimsby after man found injured in the road

An air ambulance landed in Grimsby after a man was found injured in the road.

It is understood the man was assaulted near Stanley Street, in Grimsby, by another man known to him.

Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The incident happened at about 8.15am today, with an air ambulance landing at Grant Thorold Park shortly after.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Stanley Street in Grimsby at 8.15am this morning, after a man was found in the road injured following a reported assault.

“Emergency services attended to the man and thankfully he is not thought to be seriously injured.

“An investigation has been launched to find the person responsible, however the two men are believed to be known to one another.

“We remain in the area conducting CCTV and house to house enquiries, and to provide reassurance to the local community.
