Airdry pub The Boar’s Head taken over by TV filming crews


The Boar’s Head, at Airdry, announced that filming on the project has been completed today.

It was closed from Monday, May 31 to Wednesday.

The owners said: “Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to our regulars, however, we hope that you all can follow us and support your local people in getting back.”

It is not clear what is being filmed but rumors are swirling it could be a TV Tartan noir crime novelist Val McDermid’s adaptation of the Inspector Karen Pirie series.

Outlander star Lauren Lyle was confirmed last month by ITV as the lead role in the project.
