They finally Lego of this housed toy.
An Arizona resident can finally “smell paint” after recently blowing his nose in the shower — freeing a Lego piece that had been stuck in his nose for nearly three decades.
Norton Havoc, 32, who identifies as they/them, shared the shocking story on Instagramand mentions that for years they had endured “multiple breathing problems” that included asthma, as well as a newly diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea.
“Lego stuck in my nose for almost 3 decades is finally coming out? I CAN SMELL COLORS NOW,” the caption of the Sept. 1 video read.
The Lego dot got stuck in Havoc’s nose 26 years ago when they placed it there while playing with construction toys, Havoc said.
At the time, Havoc said he was trying to untie the dot with a Lego man, thinking the two pieces might attack.
“It was like a rescue mission,” Norton said.
The “brilliant idea” didn’t turn out as planned, and even the Lego head got stuck.
Norton’s mother used tweezers to remove the toys, but unbeknownst to both of them, the Lego dot remained.
Havoc said they had been blowing their noses in the shower for the past six months on doctor’s advice due to the dry conditions where they live in Arizona, when the toy shot out.
“Today I blew my nose in the shower, and lo and behold, I blew out a Lego dot that’s been in my nose for at least 26 years,” Havoc said in the video. “And I don’t know what to make of this.”
“I can breathe out of this side of my nose now, and it’s amazing,” Havoc said. “I haven’t been able to do that since I was a kid.”
With the newly freed toy in a Ziploc bag near the end of the video, Havoc said “I’m shaken.”
Havoc added that they plan to take the toy to the doctor and discuss the incident.
