CAMPBELL — A 19-year-old San Jose man was arrested last week in connection with a vandalism spree in Campbell that caused $21,700 in damage, authorities said.
BB gun bullets were fired at numerous businesses and cars between Sept. 21 and 25, the Campbell Police Department said in a news release Monday. At least 10 incidents of broken glass have been reported.
Police used surveillance footage and an automated license plate reader to identify the man.
Around 9:40 a.m. Friday, detectives served an arrest warrant on the suspect in front of the Bank of America at Pruneyard Shopping Center. A BB gun was found in his car, police said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vandalism and reckless discharge of a BB gun. He has since posted bail.
