MANITOWOC – Lakeshore Balloon Glow returns to downtown Manitowoc August 16.
The free, family-friendly event features colorful hot air balloons that light up along Manitowoc’s riverfront.
Entertainment will include the Webfooters Water Ski Show, aerial dancers and a variety of children’s activities such as bounce houses, face painting, Mischief and Magic performances, story time, a traveling snake show and a chance to meet Miss Wisconsin 2024 Mandi Genord.
The event is set for 17.00-21.00 on August 16. The balloon glow takes place on both sides of the Manitowoc River, in and around the parking lot at 720 Quay St. and the Manitowoc Public Library parking lot and also at Shipbuilders Park.

Food trucks will be on hand and the Manitowoc Lions Club will be selling corn on the cob. Beer, soft drinks and water will be available for sale. The evening will include a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m
A free shuttle service will be provided 4:45-9:00 pm from three remote parking areas including: Lincoln High School JFK Field House parking lot, Roncalli High School parking lot and Faith Church parking lot.
The bus stops at each location every half hour, and the last shuttle from the event departs at 21.00. The drop-off and pick-up zone at the event is on Eighth Street near the Manitowoc Public Library.
