BBC Studios and ITV Studios join forces to adopt drama series in India – Deadline


In an unusual coming together of two traditional rivals, bbc studio and ITV Studio has signed an agreement to co-produce plays for the Indian market.

The first of its kind deal will involve two companies adopting four ITV studio plays: goldsmith, sticks and stones, trauma, and 35 days. BBC Studios will also explore the possibility of making the remake in the regional markets of Tamil and Telugu.

BBC Studios India has a track record of pulling off projects in the country. it has adapted criminal justice and Doctor Foster Disney-owned streamer Hotstar, while it is also working on an Indian version of the Idris Elba series Luther.
