Coach Matt Nagy and General Manager Ryan Pace, both in the hot seat, are hoping to find out after their exchange for the New York Giants 11th-place with former Ohio State midfielder Justin Fields.
Chicago sent the 20th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, a futuristic first-round pick and mid-round multi-pick To the giants for success in trade.
There was a divisive number during the pre-draft process, there was talk of Fields dropping to third overall for the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for the double-threatening midfielder, he fell outside the top ten. Thankfully, Fields has landed in a position where he may be able to get started right away with Andy Dalton currently QB1 on the Chicago Bears roster.
Fields began his college football career in Georgia before moving to the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2019. During his initial two years in Columbus, Fields led Buckeyes to consecutive play-off appearances and set a record 20-2. He threw 63 drops to just nine interceptions and ran 867 yards 15 points. Fields is among the most talented potential players in the 2021 draft NFL.
