Bearsden man taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after being attacked by knife-wielding thugs


A 24-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked with a knife by two men was taken to a hospital.

The incident took place at Spears Road in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire at around 1.10 pm yesterday.

The suspects took off in the direction of Maryhill in a black hatchback.

Police are now conducting door-to-door inquiries in the area and watching CCTV to establish what happened and appealing to members of the public who may have information.

Detective Sergeant Vincent Smith, Glasgow CID, Police Scotland, said: “One person has suffered serious injuries as a result of this incident and we are seeking the public’s help to trace those responsible.

“I would ask if you were in the area at the time of the incident and have any information that may aid our investigation that you come forward and speak to the police.

“If there are any motorists with possible dashcam footage who can help with our inquiries, please get in touch.
