“Ghost with the most” has done it again.
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” topped Friday’s box office for a second week in a row, its eighth day in theaters, earning $14.4 million, according to The Numbers.
The highly-anticipated sequel, which stars Michael Keaton reprising his role alongside several other members of the original cast, has pulled in $150.8 million since it first hit theaters.
The dark fantasy comedy-horror made history as the second-biggest September opening of all time, behind 2017’s “It,” which pulled in $123 million in day-one receipts.
Psychological horror film “Speak No Evil,” a remake of a 2022 Danish film of the same name, opened at No. 2, with $4.9 million in first-day sales.
The film stars James McAvoy, whose performance “will really sneak up on you” according to ABC.
Debuting third was “Am I Racist?”, a film from American political activist and author Matt Walsh.
The film sold $1.96 million in tickets on Friday.
In its seventh week at the box office, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” landed in fourth place, with $1.4 million.
“Reagan,” in its fourth week in theaters, rounded out the top 5, grossing $905,040.
