Chicagoans participated in the annual Bike the Drive fundraiser on September 1, 2024 for the Active Transportation Alliance. The ride is a 30-mile course along DuSable Lake Shore Drive with an after-ride festival held in Grant Park. The Active Transportation Alliance is a nonprofit advocacy group working to improve conditions for walking, biking, and public transit throughout Chicagoland.
