Dybantsa, the No. 1 prospect in the nation, is expected to make his college decision in February.
Brockton’s AJ Dybantsa, the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the class of 2025, has a knack for making the very difficult look routine.
His latest feat came on Friday night, when he floated in the air and threw down a teammate’s miss over a helpless opponent.
He pops from the outside of the frame into the middle in a single sweep, raises and slams it home in one fluid motion.
Dybantsa, a 6-foot-8 forward making his Utah Prep debut, dazzled with 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Utah Prep won the game over Montgomery, 69-48, to advance to the semifinals of the L’Attitude Basketball Classic against the NBA Academy.
On3Sports’ Joe Tipton believes Brigham Young University is the front-runner to land Dybantsa, but Tipton said his final destination remains to be seen. Dybantsa is not expected to make a decision until February, Tipton said, so much can change.
Dybantsa, 17, played for St. Sebastian’s School in Needham before transferring to Utah Prep.
