Several bystanders helped lift a car from a pedestrian in Somerville on Thursday, WHDH reported.
The car struck the victim as he was crossing the street near the intersection of McGrath Highway and Broadway, police told WHDH.
Construction workers working on a nearby house heard the crash and rushed to help the pedestrian, the station reported. A Good Samaritan, who WHDH identified as Anderson Pacheco, said there was no other option but to lift the car off the pedestrian. Pacheco told WHDH officers who responded to the crash asked for construction crews to help lift the car.
