Law enforcement officials have made an arrest in a May shooting on Interstate 280 in San Jose.
The California Highway Patrol, in cooperation with the San Jose Police Department, recently arrested a 41-year-old San Jose resident in connection with the case. He was charged with several felony charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an occupied vehicle and being in possession of a firearm.
CHP officers were first dispatched May 15 to the northbound exit at Saratoga Avenue after reports of a shooting. While the victim in the other vehicle was unharmed, a bullet hole was found in the car’s right fender.
The CHP executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on July 25 after identifying him through a license plate reader.
The suspect is currently being held without bond in the Santa Clara County Jail.
