Christmas ice rinks coming to Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire for 2021

Christmas Ice rinks planned all over the Midlands families start looking forward to the seasonal treat.

There’s something special about ice skating as the big day approaches, with festive tunes playing, shimmering fairy lights reflecting on the ice, and warming hot chocolates to enjoy in the cafe afterwards.

You can spend an afternoon skating outdoors in the city center while you do your Christmas shopping.

Alternatively, you can go festive skating as part of your visit to an attraction such as Warwick Castle or Tamworth Snowdome. And you can also try an entirely new event – Winter Funland – coming to NEC.

Remember to book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment and stay home if you have any Covid symptoms.

Ice Skating Birmingham, Centenary Square

Ice Skating Birmingham It’s back in 2021 with an elevated bar area to enjoy the view of Centenary Square after your session or watch friends or family enjoying the ice.

The ice rink will open on the same day on Thursday, November 4th. Birmingham German Christmas Market, and will run until Sunday, January 9th.

Early bird tickets will also be available for families, which will be £4 less than in 2019. The attraction could not open in 2020 due to Covid restrictions.

The Big Wheel will operate at the same times as the ice rink, except on Christmas Day, from 10:00 to 22:00.

Digbeth Ice Rink

A new ice rink is coming digbeth as part of a series of festive events in Luna Springs this year.

From October 21, a 20m x 10m ice rink will be set up, decorated with lots of twinkling fairy lights and hosting lots of festive music for a party atmosphere. There is also a 500 cap marquee for food and drinks.

You can also book ice zorbing and curling, as well as skating lessons, and there will be plenty of entertainment, including a Santa Claus show and real reindeer.

Open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, tickets start at £9.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. Learn more and book Here

Winter Funland at NEC

Birmingham NEC hosting a festive ice rink this Christmas.

This is part of a large scale business winter funland this is coming to Birmingham Christmas – Bringing the UK’s largest indoor fairground to the city.

There is also a circus, mischievous elves and a cave where children can meet. father Christmas plus a food and drink market.

Tickets from Thursday 9 December to Sunday 2 January are £23.50 each or £89 for a family of four plus a reservation fee. Learn more and book Here.

Warwick Castle Ice Rink

The outdoor ice rink is back at Warwick Castle for Christmas 2021.

You will be able to sing along to your favorite festive songs on the track inside the castle walls. Tickets start from 14.50 TL. Book yours Here.

There is also a light path in the garden that will see the gardens decorated with thousands of twinkling lights and light projections, you can also have afternoon tea with stories from Santa Claus.

Winter Wonderland at Tamworth Snowdome

Enjoy a festive skating on the festively decorated indoor ice rink at Tamworth Snowdome with lots of Christmas tunes playing in the background.

You can also play in the snow, watch a Santa Claus show and wander around an animal village as part of the Winter Wonderland event, which will run from November 13 to January 2, 2022.

Winter Glow in Malvern

There is a large real ice rink at Winter Glow, a multi-event festive attraction taking place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern this Christmas.

The track is closed so you can ski whatever the weather, and there’s an Ice Cafe afterward where you can grab a hot chocolate or a bite to eat.

There will also be live music, DJ music and family friendly Ice Princess Parties on selected dates.

The ice rink operates from November 12 to January 9 and is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. Prices vary between 5 – 14 TL. Learn more and book tickets Here
