Colts injury report: G Nelson continues to miss training

That Indianapolis Colts today released their Thursday injury report for Week 12 of the NFL season ahead of their Sunday game. The Colts only did one review, therefore the training report is only an estimate of each player’s participation if there was a training.

Guard Quenton Nelson continued to miss training today with an ankle injury. Nelson has missed both training sessions this week after worsening his ankle against the Bills on Sunday. Nelson has been one who has played through pain before and usually does not miss many games due to injury, but it does not look good for him to play Sunday against the Buccaneers. If he can not play, then expect the more than talented Chris Reed to play in his place.

Cornerback TJ Carrie returned to training today after being limited in yesterday’s training with a knee injury. Carrie is valuable depth at the cornerback position because of his flexibility playing inside and out. Carrie, who is training fully today, should allow him to play on Sunday.

Wide receiver TY Hilton returned to training today after being limited in yesterday’s training with a toe injury. Hilton, who is training fully today, gives him a good shot to be able to play on Sunday. The Colts are offensively dependent on Hilton massively, though the statistics sheet does not reflect that.

Linebacker Darius Leonard continued to be limited in practice with an ankle injury. Leonard has struggled with an ankle injury all year, but has yet to miss a fight. Expect Leonard to go in on Sunday with an injury designation, but he will likely get through the pain, as he has done all year.
