This month’s front cover is a photo taken at a recent Concise RFC club rugby training session (Juniors and Minis, 4 March 2021). This was taken by George Ledger and is part of the Concet coronavirus photo project. Visit pages four and five for more information on this spectacular project, which is documenting local Conset life during the 2020-21 pandemic for present and future generations. It will be a snapshot of local history, to see what life was like for some Concente residents during this difficult and unprecedented time.
On page nine, local business owner Darren Cutler, who underwent open heart surgery at the age of 23, is now starting his Heart of the North Challenge, which encourages people to walk or run 266.3 miles – the challenge is for everyone to walk. Designed for or jogging regularly to improve your physical and mental health. What a great opportunity for a local fitness professional like Darren to help people in the local community become more active. We encourage everyone who can join in.
