Another one bites the dust: Representative Cori Bush, far left got the boot from his Democratic constituents on Tuesday, losing to St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell.
That makes her the second “Squad” member to be ousted this year, as their own party members shun their rabid anti-Israel hatred: rep. Jamaal Bowman lost his primary to Westchester County Exec George Latimer by almost 17 points in June.
In both races, the challenger won on a pro-Israel message, while criticizing the incumbents for not taking time out from their pro-Hamas hatred to actually serve the district.
Bowman refused the rape of women by Hamas during the October 7 slaughter (track back when caught), called Israel’s war against Hamas a “genocide” and called it an “apartheid state”; Latimer supported the funding of the Iron Dome and opposed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.
Bush accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” in Gaza and this year voted against the No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Actwhich would ban Hamas thugs involved in the attack on Israel from ever setting foot on American soil.
Bell is very progressive: he pushed for criminal justice reform, access to abortion, gun control, and “environmental access.”
But he clearly supports Israel, praising it as “the only democracy and strongest American ally in the Middle East” and affirming (like most Americans) its “right to defend itself and go after those who committed” the October 7 atrocities.
He called Bush’s smearing of Israel “wrong and offensive.”
That’s two hat-tricks down, with a hat-trick possible: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) could fall next week for the same reason.
What remains of the “Squad” should be noted.
