Coronavirus Scotland: 3,261 new cases and 18 reported deaths

SCOTLAND According to the latest figures, more than 3,200 new cases of Covid-19 and 18 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

The Scottish Government has confirmed that 3,261 people have reported positive test results for Covid-19 since Friday.

This is a decrease from yesterday’s 3,667 new cases.

Another 40,397 new Covid-19 tests were conducted reporting the results. Of these, 8.8% were positive, a slight increase from yesterday’s 8.5% positive rate.

In the last 24 hours, 18 deaths were recorded, of which one person tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days.

Yesterday the hospital had 1,005 people with recently confirmed Covid-19, and 79 patients were in intensive care.

Scottish immunization figures are currently 4,172,573 people receiving the first dose of covid vaccine and 3,824,074 receiving the second dose.
