SAN JOSE – Firefighters Monday night battled a three-story fire in the San Jose foothills.
The Quimby fire was reported around 7:40 p.m. in the 4400 block of Quimby Road.
The fire had consumed 15 acres by 8:12 p.m., the Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit said in a posts on social media.
The Quimby Fire is composed of four separate flames, according to the Watch Duty app.
In an update shortly after 8 p.m., the app reported that the largest fire was 10 hectares and threatened structures.
A spokesperson for the San Jose Fire Department did not immediately return a message seeking additional information about the fire.
