Ottawa, Ontario – The International Energy Agency (IEA) has really grown A scenario where we succeed in our fight against climate change – A perspective sorely missing from our national counterpart, the Canadian Energy Regulator. And the IEA’s conclusion is that all countries should immediately stop approving fossil fuel projects to limit warming to 1.5 °C. All projects: oil, gas, coal, pipelines. The CER should develop a uniform assessment for Canada, and all governments in Canada should heed this advice, and reject all proposals for fossil fuel projects.
