“Danger!” Hosts: Mayim Bialik, Ken Jennings will be finished in 2021

NEW YORK – Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings separate “Jeopardy!” Hosting obligations for the remainder of 2021.

Sony Pictures Television announced the plan on Thursday, the same week as episode filmed by controversial host Mike Richards.

Richards, who also played his role as “Jeopardy!” Lost executive producer, was initially tipped as the successor to Alex Trebek, but left the show after earlier misogynistic and disparaging comments surfaced.

Bialik has been tipped in the meantime, and its episodes will air until November 5th. Then Sony says that Jennings and Bialik will share hosting tasks based on their flight plans by the end of the calendar year. No on-air auditions of other potential hosts were announced.

Jennings, the record holder for the longest “Jeopardy!” Winning Tears, is a consulting producer on the show. Bialik has already been voted for “Jeopardy!” Prime-Time and Spinoff series, including a new college album.

“Danger!” uses a series of guest hosts, including Richards, for shows filmed after Trebek’s death. The beloved host died of cancer last November.

This story has been corrected to show that Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik are hosting at the end of the calendar year, not the entire TV season.
