Here’s what to look for in Giants preseason game against the Texans on Saturday.
Back at the controls
Daniel Jones hasn’t appeared in a game since November 5th and this is somewhat of a career reset as he makes his debut with his surgically repaired right knee.
He doesn’t want to take a hit but if he does, the Giants will breathe easier as he gets up and moves on.
Jobs for the taking
The starting cornerback spot opposite Deonte Banks is up for grabs and Cor’Dale Flott hasn’t taken it this summer.
He has a problem with the quad and now Nick McCloud (or possibly Tre Hawkins) gets a chance to move in.
Feed the tower
Malik Nabers was on the field for 12 snaps in the preseason opener against the Lions and wasn’t targeted once by quarterback Drew Lock — despite Nabers breaking free at least twice.
Nabers missed time this past week with a sprained ankle but bounced back quickly and if he gets into this game, all eyes will be on him again.
