The Austin Police Department has formally opened a missing persons investigation into the disappearance of the 29-year-old daughter of a former Major League Baseball player from the Austin area.
Brenna Swindell is the mother of three and daughter of longtime pitcher Greg Swindell, who played for the University of Texas and had a 17-year MLB career. She has been missing since Thursday, her mother, Sarah Swindell, said in a Facebook posts. The disappearance is out of character for Brenna, who “would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation,” the post said.
According to the Austin Police Department, Brenna Swindell and her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, were last seen together around 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood. Police tracked her white 2022 Kia Carnival to Colorado on Friday night.
Sarah Swindell said her daughter’s former boyfriend was “violent” and has a history of abusive behavior, the Facebook post said.
Brenna Swindell’s ex-boyfriend and her van have possibly been seen in Colorado Springs, according to one flyer shared by the organization Missing People in America.
Both Brenna Swindell’s and her ex-boyfriend’s phones “appear to be (in Colorado) but both are turned off,” the Facebook post said.
Brenna Swindell is 5-foot-5 and about 120 pounds with brown shoulder-length hair. She has a sleeve tattoo with flowers on one arm and a spider web on the other shoulder, the post says.
