HAYWARD – Authorities are investigating the death of a 47-year-old woman Monday night in Hayward as suspicious.
Around 10:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 27000 block of Eucalyptus Court for a report of a disturbance, the Hayward Police Department said in a news release. A woman was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the woman’s identity after it is confirmed and her next of kin notified.
Police also found a 47-year-old man suffering from apparent self-inflicted cuts, police said. He was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The man and woman were married and lived together, the police said.
– The incident is being investigated as a suspicious death, say the police. “The investigation is ongoing and further details will be provided as they become available.”
