A 61-year-old driver left a trail of carnage in his tracks in Brooklyn on Saturday after hitting four cars and injuring two pedestrians in a demolition derby before police arrested him.
Police said the driver of the Toyota minivan was heading north Rockaway Parkway in Brownsville around 4 p.m. when he crashed into two occupied vehicles.
The man was making a quick U-turn while trying to flee the scene when he struck a 26-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl, they said. He then collided with two empty vehicles nearby Blake Ave. and Grafton St. about a quarter of a mile from the first crash.
The two injured pedestrians were taken to Brookdale University Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, police said.
Police said they were able to apprehend the driver, who was not immediately identified, near the scene of the third crash.
