Former President Donald Trumpplanned the interview Elon Musk got off to a rough start on Monday when Musk claimed that a cyber attack prevented users from accessing the interview on X, previously Chirp.
Both Trump and Musk, who bought the platform in late 2022 and have supported the former president, teased the “talk” at X Spaces well before it was set to take place at 8pm Eastern Time on Monday.
But when the time came, the link just showed the message “Space not available” for most users. It was unclear whether the conversation started or not, as the Spaces link was still unavailable at 8:23 PM Eastern Time.
Musk claimed a cyber attack was to blame for one post at 20:18 and writes the following: “It appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X. Working on shutting it down. Worst case we will continue with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.”
This is a news in progress and will be updated with more information.
