However, fans weren’t too impressed by the ‘extremely awkward’ and ‘posing’ images, and some even claimed they were heavily photoshopped.
The photos were taken by photographer Pari Dukovic outside her £11m mansion in California.
On the cover of the magazine Meghan and Harry Meghan dressed in all white and Harry dressed in all black can be seen against the backdrop of trees.
And another photo shows the pair next to a window frame, with Harry wearing a suit and Meghan wearing a green, round-neck sweater and gray pants.
Third, while showing them walking hand in hand on the grounds of their home in the USA.
But one person wrote on Twitter: “Terrible retouching job. They look like CGI.”
Someone else added: “Does anyone else think the cover of Harry and Meghan magazine is a little embarrassing? Maybe it’s because I’m not used to seeing Prince Harry pose?”
Referring to the cover image, another said, “It looks totally weird when Harry is looking behind his wife like that.”
As another tweeted, “Wow, this photo says a lot. There’s no hiding who’s in control.”
One fan said they were “so proud” to be on the list, adding, “My only criticism is that the photo looks overly photoshoped and fake. I don’t know what the designer and photographer thought, but this is not my favorite photo. Anyway, congrats to my favourites!!”
The listing of Harry and Meghan came as the magazine praised the duo for being “compassionate with people they don’t know,” adding: “They don’t just give opinions. They run towards the challenge.”
Saying they are “humble”, the couple is featured in a short article in the magazine by chef José Andrés.
José is the founder of World Central Kitchen, one of the charities supported by the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation.
TIME says : “For a young duke and duchess blessed by birth and talent, scorched by fame, taking action is not an easy choice. It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and remain silent.
“That’s not what Harry and Meghan are doing or who they are. Through the Archewell Foundation, they’re turning compassion into scratching the ground. They’re giving the voices of the silent through media production.
“Hand in hand with nonprofit partners, they take risks to help communities in need – offering mental health support to Black women and girls in the US and nurturing those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean.”
The announcement that the Sussexes are part of TIME’s roster came as Harry celebrated his 37th birthday today.
The Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge conveyed birthday wishes for him.
The Queen tweeted via her official Twitter account, “I wish the Duke of Sussex a happy birthday today!” said.
