A former Patriots player is accused of assaulting an 82-year-old man at a Planet Fitness in Rhode Island last month.
According to Boston 25 NewsPatrick Pass, 46, is charged with assault on a person over 60 causing bodily harm in connection with the Aug. 28 incident at the North Providence gym.
Police told the station that Pass, who played seven seasons with New England and won three Super Bowl titles with the team, allegedly shoved the older man in an argument over exercise equipment, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer lower back injuries.
Pass was arrested and arraigned Wednesday in connection with the incident, WBZ reports. Bail was set at $10,000 personal recognizance, and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He returns to court on January 8.
