Karachi: Left batsman Fouad Alam became the only Asian batsman to convert his first four test points of more than 50 into hundreds.
Since his return to international cricket after a hiatus of nearly 10 years, Fouad has scored three centuries against New Zealand, South Africa and Zimbabwe. His last century against Zimbabwe also made him the only sixth hitter in the world to turn his first four Test Score over 50 into hundreds.
Previously, it was done by George Headley, Everton Wikeez, Neil Harvey, Peter Parfitt and John Edrich. The Great Headley is the only hitter in cricket history to turn all of his first six over 50 points on Tests into centuries followed by Weekes who scored five hundred in a row.
It is worth noting here that Fouad made his audition debut in 2009 and scored a hundred on his first test. He was dropped after two matches and had to wait 10 years to play cricket again. He is back in his test against England in 2020.
