The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance images of the suspects being sought shot down “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor on the streets of the City of Angels — as well as the getaway car of the alleged killers.
Wactor, 37, was walking back to his car after a late-night shift as a bartender in downtown Los Angeles when he encountered three men who had jacked up the vehicle and were trying to steal his catalytic converter.
When he confronted them, one of the men pulled a gun and shot Wactor in the chest “without provocation,” police said told KTLA.
The suspects then fled the scene in a stolen 2018 four-door black Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior, police said.
The pictures was released by the LAPD show two of the suspects wearing light-colored hoodies and a man wearing a black hoodie. No physical description of the suspects was offered other than a tattoo “Suspect 1” has above his left eye and on his right cheek.
Police said the shooting happened in the 1200 block of Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles around 3:25 a.m.
Wactor appeared in 164 episodes of the long-running soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He also appeared in shows such as HBO’s “Westworld,” “NCIS” and “Criminal Minds.”
The LAPD is asking for the public’s help in finding the men responsible for his killing and encourages anyone with information to call the department’s Central Bureau’s Homicide Unit, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
