Karachi: New Zealand batsman Martin Gopetil highly praised Pakistan captain Babar Azam and expressed his happiness to play alongside him in the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Guptill will make his PSL debut while starring as Defense Champion of the Karachi Kings. In a statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Guptill showed high hopes of enjoying punching with Babar and Sharjeel Khan.
He said, “I am really looking forward to hitting with Babar Azzam, who is a world-class player with great T20 numbers.” He added, “My goal is to give a great start to the side with him and Sharjeel.”
The high-ranked Kings’ right-hand hitter said they would try to create history by becoming the first team in the PSL to defend the title. “This will be my first PSL appearance. I’m really looking forward to entering the field for the reigning champions Karachi Kings.”
“We have a strong team with the likes of Mohamed Amir leading our attack, and I really feel we can create history by becoming the first team to successfully defend the Premier League title,” he concluded.
