Houston weather: here’s how Nicholas will affect our weather on Thursday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Nicholas has slowed over Louisiana and will continue to affect the weather in Houston on Thursday.

The humidity surrounding the circulation of the tropical depression will keep the sky mostly cloudy for most of the day. There may even be a few showers, especially east of I-45. Where it remains highly cloudy, temperatures will warm into the mid-80s. Where sunlight is more abundant, temperatures will climb into the 90s.

What can we expect for the weekend?
Friday should give more sunshine and a top temperature around 90. You have less than 20% chance of rain.

How is the weekend shaping up?
Gulf humidity takes a notch on Saturday and Sunday, so we have a 30-40% chance of rain in the forecast. With added clouds and humidity, temperatures will peak in the mid-80s and higher.
What can we expect next week?

Humidity will begin to return at the end of the weekend and into next week, bringing back the possibility of daily showers. A weak cold front will also try to approach as we head towards the end of next week.
