The official filing deadline for all campaigns is May 21, which means all candidates must file an official declaration of candidature The primary election coincides with the King County elections to create ballots that will be mailed to registered voters on July 14 and August 3. The general election will be held on November 2.

Many of the candidates that were announced at the beginning of the year have taken a leap on fundraising over those who recently joined. Chief Seattle Club executive director Colleen Eckhock and architect Andrew Grant Houston – who entered the race in January – say their campaigns have reached a maximum primary valuation of $400,000.
