The 2020-21 UEFA Champions League has finally reached its final match, beating months of play affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to get here.
This year, the Champions League will see an all-English final between the Premier League teams Chelsea, in search of their second title in three visits, and Manchester City, in their first-ever appearance in the final.
Of particular interest to American fans: Ensures an American win the UEFA Champions League Cup, both in Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic (expected to be the first American to play in the Champions League Final) and Manchester City’s Zach Stephen, who will likely start the seat.
The 2020-21 UEFA Champions League Final will conclude on Saturday at Dragão Stadium in Porto, Portugal. The final was initially scheduled for Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium, but UEFA organizers moved the match after the United Kingdom put Turkey on its “red list” due to COVID-19. Essentially, Chelsea and Man City supporters would have faced travel restrictions had they stayed in Istanbul.
