Former Donald Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the so-called fake voter case in Arizona in exchange for her charges being dropped.
State’s Attorney Kris Mayes announced Monday that Ellis signed the agreement earlier that morning. Mayes said Ellis’ decision to reverse is “a significant step forward in our case.”
“I am grateful to Ellis for her cooperation with our investigation and prosecution,” Mayes said in a statement, adding that Ellis’ “insights are invaluable and will greatly assist the state in proving its case in court.”
Ellis had previously Pleaded not guilty to the nine felony counts listed against her in the false election count Mayes announced in April. Prosecutors accuse Ellis and 17 other allies of the former president of conspiring to overturn Arizona’s 2020 election results in Trump’s favor.
