“I love every single thing about you. You are mine forever and I can’t wait to be with you again.”
Two days after the passing of her husband Johnny GaudreauMeredith Gaudreau took to Instagram on Saturday to honor him.
“Thank you for the best years of my life” Meredith Gaudreau wrote. “Even though I lost you, I’m still the luckiest girl in the world to have been yours. I love you so much. You were perfect. Some days it felt too good to be true. I love every single thing about you. You’re mine forever and I can’t wait to be with you again. I love you so much forever and ever.”
She then shared a follow-up post about Johnny’s role as a father.
“The absolute best dad in the world” she wrote. “So caring and loving. The best partner to go through parenthood with. John never missed an appointment. Was the best at putting the baby to sleep and Noah’s eyeball. I love how much she looks like him. We will make you proud. We love you so very father.”
Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, was killed on Thursday night when they were hit by a suspected drunk driver while cycling in their home state of New Jersey.
Johnny, 31, and Matthew, 29, both played hockey at Boston College. Johnny Gaudreau, known as “Johnny Hockey”, played 11 seasons in the National Hockey League.
