NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has released video showing Jon Bon Jovi helping to save a woman who was standing on the edge of a bridge in downtown Nashville.
According to officials, the incident happened on Tuesday, September 10 on the Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge.

Authorities told News 2 a 36-year-old woman tried to jump from the bridge. Surveillance video shows several people walking past the woman before Bon Jovi and an acquaintance from his film crew approached her.
Bon Jovi and the acquaintance are seen having a conversation with the woman before grabbing her and pulling her back over the bridge railing.
After climbing over the railing, the woman is seen talking to the music legend as he pulls her into a hug.

“It’s up to all of us to help keep each other safe,” said Metro Chief John Drake.
According to police, the woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other information was released.
