Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday stopped her Wisconsin campaign crowd from mocking her 2024 Republican primary rival Donald Trumpwho is a convicted felon, with the song, “Lock him up.”
“Well, hang on, hang on, hang on,” the Democratic candidate said.
“You know what? Here, hold on. Here’s the thing, the courts will handle that part of it. We’re going to beat him in November,” Harris declared to massive applause.

Trump was convicted in May on all 34 counts in his secret trial in New York. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 18.
The “lock him up” chant is a spin on Trump supporters’ “lock her up” cry during the 2016 election, which called for the jailing of his then-Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
