A Kenwood man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery that led to the stabbing of a 37-year-old man at an Englewood gas station earlier this week, according to police.
Police have charged Tommery Moore, 20, with rob a 36-year-old man at gunpoint Wednesday morning along with an accomplice identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Toron Davis.
Moore faces single counts of armed kidnapping, armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, along with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
The robbery victim was inside a gas station in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street late Wednesday morning when Moore and Davis walked in, pulled the victim’s hair and demanded his belongings, police said.
The victim produced a knife and stabbed Davis in the throat. Moore then pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the face, police said.
