Aaron Rodgers is still feeling all the hits he took last Sunday.
Rodgers, who was sacked five times down the stretch The Jets’ 10-9 loss to the Broncos at MetLife Stadium, slowly got up several times late in the game.
“I’m feeling a little cold,” Rodgers said during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. “Took some shots, knee is a little swollen but just a little worn, week 4.”
On Monday, head coach Robert Saleh predicted Rodgers wouldn’t even appear on the injury report this week. However, the Jets must first fly to London for their Week 5 game against the Vikings.
Long flights are not exactly optimal for swollen knees.
“From what I’ve gathered, it’s just normal wear and tear to get beat up a little bit yesterday,” Saleh said.
Rodgers wasn’t at his best in Sunday’s loss, completing 24 of 42 passes for 225 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
“I hope we can all have some perspective here,” Rodgers said Tuesday. “It seemed like an extreme game. Obviously, Denver has a really solid defense. The weather and their defense and our lack of execution made for a pretty bad combination there and only scored nine points.”
