A 20-year-old Antioch man who was wounded in a shooting Monday has died from his injuries, police said Friday.
Police identified him as Elijah Scales and said he died at a hospital Thursday.
They did not provide any further information. They have not made any arrests.
The homicide investigation is the 11th by Antioch police this year.
Police said the shooting happened around 9:35 p.m. in the area of ​​Peppertree Way and Sycamore Drive, and that at least 30 shots were fired. The wave was in the 2200 block of Peppertree Way, police said.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, according to police. It is unclear what Scales’ role in the shooting was, if any.
