LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Lancaster County man has been arrested and charged with raping a minor.
According to East Earl Township Police, on June 26, 2024, the department received a report of an alleged child molestation. Police say it was alleged that 57-year-old Christopher T. Zweifel, of East Earl Township, sexually assaulted a child.

Police say on August 5, 2024, around 9:50 a.m., Zweifel was arrested on the following charges: Rape of a Child (F1), Statutory Sexual Assault (F1), Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse with a Child (F1), Rape – Forcible Coercion (F1), IDSI – person under 16 (F1), IDSI – Coercion (F1), sexual abuse (F2), gross indecent abuse of a child (F1), gross indecent assault – coercion (F2) ), gross indecent assault – victim under 13 (F2), indecent assault – coercion (M1), indecent assault – person under 13 (M1), corruption of minors – defendant 18 or older ( F3).
Zweifel was arraigned by District Judge Jonathan Heisse, who set Zweifel’s bond at $250,000. Zweifel was unable to post bail and was taken to Lancaster County Prison to await a preliminary hearing, according to police.
